About UHT Cream
UHT (Ultra Heat Treated - long life milk) became commercially available in the 1960s. UHT processing is also known as 'aspetic processing' and the UHT packaging helps protect the product contents from light and oxygen. Ultra-high-temperature (UHT) processing is a procedure for preserving liquid food products by exposing them to brief, intensive heating. The process can only be carried out within an aseptic (or sterile) environment using pre-sterilised packages to avoid re-contaminating the product.
